WORKSHOP PROGRAM

DEGLAZING

Probably the most crucial element in Sneaker Customization.

Deglazing is the process of removing the factory varnish off the surface of the shoe.

This creates a porous surface for your paint to adhere well on the leather.

Ingredients: Acetone, Cotton swabs, Scotch® Brite scourers.

Duration: 15-25mins

STENCIL LOGOS OR LETTERING

"BUT I'M NOT A VERY ARTISTIC PERSON"

Sounds familiar? This is were we teach you a lil secret of ours.

You will learn now to use aids like vinyl diecut or stencils to add logos and / or

lettering on your sneakers like a pro. This is the same method that we used when

we were starting out.

*We would prep stencils of your choice prior to the workshop, simple reply

to the email after you sign up.

Ingredients: Vinyl diecut stencils, Exacto knife, Clear tape

Duration: 5-10mins

PAINTING TECHNIQUES

This is when the rubber hits the road. A very therapeutic process where you transform your base

shoe into your very own unique colorway. During this process, you will learn to select the proper

brushes and paints to work with. And also how to hold your sneaker, brush and adjust your body

posture so you can create clean killer lines that would create a professional finish.

Ingredients: Ashleyâ„¢ angle shader brushes, Angelus® leather paints.

Duration: 45-80mins.

TOUCH UPS

The final stages of your session where you would feel the most excitement. At this stage,

your masterpiece looks almost done but it just needs a lil more polishing for that finesse.

Like trimming a bonsai plant, you will learn to clean up lines on the crucial areas to get that

professional finish.

Ingredients: 1/8 Ashleyâ„¢ angle shader,  Angelus leather paints, Exacto knife, Acetone and cotton swabs.

Duration: 10-20mins

LACE 'EM UP + PHOTOSHOOT

Back when we first started sneaker customizing, we used to look forward to lacing them up and admire them.

This is when your sneakers look the most complete and ready to rock the streets.

This is also a good time to mingle with the other participants and take photos of your shoes to facebook

or instagram.
